CONCEPT AND BACKGROUND VHS Rental is another nostalgic hop bomb in our Very Hoppy Series – a tribute to the golden days of videotapes, Friday candy, and endless possibilities in the age of rentals. VHS Rental is an intense and hoppy Hazy Double IPA with fresh notes of citrus, tropical fruits, and subtle hints of berries and coconut. The beer is brewed with a solid amount of oats and wheat, providing a nice balance and a smooth, soft, and full-bodied mouthfeel.

APPEARANCE Light yellow and hazy – unfiltered and dense like a VHS tape in slow motion.

BODY AND MOUTHFEEL Soft and creamy mouthfeel with a full body, created by generous amounts of wheat and oats. The moderate carbonation enhances the beer’s juicy and tropical character.

AROMA An exotic and complex nose with notes of mango, coconut, passion fruit, and stone fruit. Sabro and Galaxy bring warm, tropical tones, while Mosaic and Rakau add depth and fresh fruit notes.

TASTE Full-bodied and hop-forward with layers of tropical fruit, citrus, and a hint of coconut and resin. A balanced malt base allows the hops to fully shine, and the aftertaste is long, juicy, and slightly bitter.

FOOD MATCH Perfect with spicy food – especially Thai, tacos, or grilled pork. Also ideal with a bowl of popcorn and a good movie – just like in the old days.
