IDEA AND BACKGROUND "Sorte Tanker" is a delicious double mash imperial pastry stout brewed with salt, caramel, and vanilla, as well as lactose to make the beer extra rich and sweet. Soft notes from the malts—such as chocolate, toffee, and caramel—form the base of the flavour experience, which is boosted by pronounced vanilla and caramel notes—a treat for the sweet tooth.
APPEARANCE
Pitch black and completely opaque. Large light brown foam formation with long-lasting head retention.
BODY AND MOUTHFEEL
Rich and full-bodied with a soft and creamy mouthfeel.
AROMA
Clear caramel and vanilla aroma supported by delightful notes of chocolate, coffee, and toffee from the malts.
FLAVOUR
Powerful and full-bodied flavour with a pronounced malt profile and soft roasted elements from the smoother, rounder dark malts, enhanced by the very high residual sweetness. Distinct notes of caramel and vanilla. Balanced bitterness.
