Crossover is a beer that mixes two styles. Schiøtz Belgian IPA is a Belgian Blonde Ale with classic US IPA character. It has the spicy, aromatic fruitiness of a Blonde Ale and also the characteristic hop bitterness of an India Pale Ale. In addition, in true Schiøtz fashion, we have added a little extra from nature's own treasury in the form of citrus, elderflower and guava, which give the beer a spicy and exotic touch. Typical Schiøtz.

Appearance: Deep amber-gold color and clear filtered.

Mouthfeel: Full, sweet and creamy body, slightly lively mouthfeel with a relatively high carbonation.

Scent: Super aromatic scent with significant hops, distinct spicy fruit notes with both citrus, spring flowers and an exotic touch.

Taste: Lightly sweet, distinct honey and biscuit-like malt body and distinct hop flavor, complemented by distinct spice and fruit notes (from both yeast and added fruit), and a distinct hop bitterness. Relatively long, complex aftertaste with sweetness, malt and hops.

The Schiøtz series is a tribute to Theodor Schiøtz, who in 1859 founded the Albani brewery in Odense. In addition to being a fantastically skilled brewer, Schiøtz was also an internationally recognized botanist - therefore the Schiøtz series is brewed with a touch of botany and Nordic flavoring agents, which give a more complex and exciting taste experience. As a brewer, Schiøtz was legendary and highly respected for his skill and for his unique beer. Despite Albani becoming one of the country's largest breweries, Schiøtz participated in the daily work in the brew hall as long as his strength lasted - and it lasted a long time. Schiøtz was a strong, but also very loving and committed person. He was against a hierarchy that meant he distanced himself from his employees – he wanted to work close to them and the beer. The community around the good beer has been an important element in the history of the brewery. And it has been the special thing that made Albani one of the most important breweries of the time. With interesting recipes and skilfully dedicated brewing work as a focal point. That is why it has been both obvious and respectful for us to follow in Schiøtz's great footsteps. The purpose is, in all humility, to create some Danish beers based on the special things that Schiøtz brought to Danish brewing.
