The Kissmeyer Garage series is meant to be a ‘no-nonsense’ take on the best, traditional beer styles. ‘The best’ according, of course, to my own preferences, and the interpretations of these styles in the Garage series are, on one hand, in full respect of their heritage and virtues, but at the same time with that little personal twist that make them stand out from the rest. My aim has been to make very accessible versions of the styles, as that is the way I like them, and a harmonious balance between the malts and the hops, accentuating fruity and aromatic aromas and flavours. Eagle Kiss is my take on the positive, relatively new trend involving session beers – beers with lots of aroma, flavour and taste but with very moderate levels of alcohol. Eagle Kiss is a session IPA, so it is very hop-driven with a robust bitterness. The hops are all New Zealand varieties that give an intriguing exotic fruit character to aroma and flavour.

Appearance

Bright, pale golden coloured with a rich, white head.

Aroma

Very fruity and floral hop aroma with exotic fruit characters and only a hint of malt.

Taste

Very dry, noticeably hoppy, boldly bitter and with a short, crispy aftertaste.

Mouth feel

Light body, dry for style.

Overall

A very light, dry and crisp beer with lots of fruity hop character. Meant to be very refreshing and effervescent – the ideal thirst quencher! However, ‘The Eagle’ is also surprisingly versatile with respect to food matching.

Anders Kissmeyer belongs to the absolute elite of the world's brewers. In 2011, he was voted the best active brewer in the world, and leading Danish beer writers have called him the 3rd most significant brewer in Danish brewery history. The KISSMEYER series should be a new landmark in the forest of Craft Beers. The quality and experience of Craft Beer fluctuate tremendously, and, as a consumer, it can be a little difficult to orient yourself. Of course, it's always fun to try something new, but in the midst of all this brewery creativity, we see lighthouses popping up. These lighthouses represent a high quality that one can count on, while exploring new types of beer driven by great curiosity. KISSMEYER is such a lighthouse. To ensure that KISSMEYER will always be interesting and relevant, we have developed a number of product concepts that we will be launching continuously in the years to come. All product concepts originate from Anders Kissmeyer's personal interests and drive. Nature, experiences and relevant beer situations and, not least, all of the good brewer colleagues.
