IDEA AND BACKGROUND: Many good things in the world are the result of things not going as planned. Thus also Kissmeyer Stockholm by Night. In connection with an oversight at another brew, a whole tank of beer was in surplus. That kind of fires up the creativity, and we gave the beer a solid time cold (dry) hops, and the great demand for ortblack beer´ has thus been met.

APPEARANCE: Deep black with a light, cream-colored foam.

FRAGRANCE: Intense, distinctive, fruity and floral aroma of aroma hops, with underlying hints of roasted malt and discreet spice from the yeast.

TASTE: Great and intense taste, where the fruitiness of the hops is clearly dominant, carried by the marked bitterness on a base of roasted malt notes. Long, hop-spicy and soft bitter aftertaste.

MOUTH FEEL: Medium-bodied, slightly creamy, with hop-driven dryness.

FOOD CHOICE: A somewhat demanding beer to match with food, as the intense hops will drown out the taste of most dishes. So we have to go out in very powerful simmering dishes like pork jaws or oxtails. And strong, preferably blue-molded cheeses.

WHOLE: ‘Stockholm by Night’ is as created for all fans of beer who are at the same time heavily hopped and have the solid roasted character of the stout. Not an Imperial Stout and not a black IPA, but a beer floating in the borderland in between. After a walk through the beer bar's lighter selection - what whether it's pilsners, IPAs, sours or seasons - this black Stockholmer will round off the experience and be the perfect end to an evening in good company.
