The Good Brew series pays homage to the proud Danish beer brewing tradition from 33 local breweries, the oldest was founded in 1832. "Good Brew" was used to describe the best beers and the recipes we have been inspired by. Brewed with good ingredients, and the same craftsmanship pride as then, added to that we have learned about beer brewing since - so you can now taste the story. Previously, all Danish breweries had a lager beer. It was, of course also the case at Horsens Bryghus. We have found a recipe from 1930s, where several malts provide both fullness and sweetness, balanced by copious amounts of hops for a dry finish. A traditional malt driven lager beer. Today we do not have to cool the beer with naturis, but have jacket-cooled fermentation tanks that can handle the process with much greater perfection. This makes this edition probably even more tasteful than edition from the 30s. The beer is inspired by the Bavarian lager beer and is therefore under-fermented and filled with several different malts to give it proper fullness. Both for bitterness and taste are added to German hops.
