Mineralfabrikken Frem A/S was founded by Egon Adelhardt Nielsen in 1949. He had worked at a soda bottling plant in Hadsund and wanted to start his own. He and his family therefore set course for Ribe - the largest city in Jutland without a soda factory. Here, Frem soda was born and quickly became popular in the local area. Frem soda is still produced and bottled in Ribe, but today it is delivered nationwide and has over the years become Denmark’s soda, especially known for its slogan; ‘Everyone in line drinks Frem from Ribe.
