Blå Thor is a full-bodied, aromatic, and lightly bitter strong lager closely related to Thor Pilsner — it simply has a bit more of everything. Brewed since 1964, it is a pilsner with extra strength, a gently sweet malt profile, moderate bitterness from European hops, and a warming alcohol level. The blue ribbon on the label originates from Blå Thor having been awarded a gold medal at a beer competition in Brussels early in its history.
