IDEA AND BACKGROUND: A weissbier inspired by the mysticism of the East, where we have chosen to add dragon fruit to compliment our choice of hops. At Anarkist, we are rarely completely traditional when developing beer. Adding fruit that backs up the character of the hops chosen was something we started with when developing our Bloody Weizen. Bloody Weizen thus became a kind of modern hybrid between the traditional Belgian and the traditional German weissbier. Weiss Dragon is a natural continuation of our Bloody Weizen. The hop varieties in Weiss Dragon are selected to have an aroma that approximates that which dragon fruit gives to the beer - this can be experienced as pear or kiwi. Especially the unique Wakatu™ hops from New Zealand will lift the aroma profile in this beer.

APPEARANCE: Golden, hazy with a fat foam.

AROMA: Clear character of dragon fruit, which smells of pear, kiwi and tropical fruits.

TASTE AND MOUTHFULLNESS: Good sweetness balanced with bitterness and a strong aroma. Full-bodied, mouth-watering and refreshing with a light finishing bitterness.

FOOD MATCH: Accompaniment to any fruit or chocolate-dominated dish. Aperitif as well as dessert.

WHOLE: Fusion beer with fruity notes from both wheat malt, hops and added fruit
