IDEA & BACKGROUND Weissbier, Wheat Ale, Witbier are all siblings in the same family – wheat beer. This category particularly divides the waters with the Danes, who either love or hate wheat beer. This fight has inspired us to a bloody result; a wheat beer with blood orange made the way we like it best – with lots of hops and a good shot of blood orange. This has resulted in a bomb of flavour. The provocative amount of blood orange balances perfectly with the light spicy notes from the wheat beer yeast.

APPEARANCE Yellow/orange "hazy" beer with a nice thick white foam.

FRAGRANCE Citrus, orange and fruity with an undertone of the familiar grainy character from wheat.

TASTE & MOUTH FEEL Rich wheat-driven, malty taste with a soft fruity sweetness from the blood orange, balanced by a moderate bitterness. Fresh, sparkling and airy as only a wheat beer can be.

FOOD MATCH As an aperitif or for fruity desserts.

WHOLENESS A fruit bomb, fresh as a summer day and still full and interesting. The hops and the blood orange fight to get to your nose first, and afterwards you get the well-known characteristics of the creamy wheat beer. Straightforward, though complex in its very own way.
