7UP was created by Charles Leiper Grigg. Grigg worked on developing the product for more than two years before achieving his goal: a drink that was refreshing and thirst-quenching. When 7UP was launched in the fall of 1929, it was initially under the name Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime Soda. But, shortly after its launch, it was renamed 7UP. When it was launched, there were more than 600 lemon-lime drinks on the market. In the late 1940s, 7UP was the third bestselling soda in the world.7UP has become a popular drink mixer in Denmark.
