Pepsi was founded by pharmacist Caleb Bradham in the United States in 1898. It was originally a medicine to help with digestion, but Caleb saw greater potential and began serving the drink as a refreshment to pharmacy customers. It was a success, and today it is one of the world's most popular soft drinks, which has been voted the best cola in blind tastings several times.
