Nyhed - Godt Bryg Lager
Horsens Bryghus - Mørk Lager
Taste local Danish beer history
A traditional malt-driven lager beer. In fact, it is close to the type of beer that was most common in Denmark before the pilsner really came to the table.
Horsens Mørk Lager is round in the mouth and the perfect lunch beer. Alm. pilsner strength, but with a rounder experience. We have used several different malts, which provide both fullness and sweetness, balanced with large amounts of hops for a dry, pleasant aftertaste.
Suitable for lighter meat and poultry dishes. Serve in a tall storage glass or in a sniffer glass.
The story behind this beer
Horsens Bryghus was founded by August Waagepetersen in 1859 in the warehouse on the corner of Stefansgade and Allégade. His professional luggage was extremely well padded, as he was both a trained brewery master in Denmark and had studied at several different German breweries.
In the beginning, the brewery only supplied white beer, but soon from the start, the new type of German lager was also put into production. We have left some of the old recipes and reminded of "The Horse" - Horsens landmark, which was also seen on the first labels.
In the beginning with the left front leg lifted. Later standing on all four legs. Why? Most people think that it might have just gotten tired.

Danish consumers demand locally easily drinkable beer that can offer “a little extra ” at a reasonable price.
With this series of crafted mainstream beers, they get just that.
